5 city developments offering $15,000 incentives

The Partnership for New Communities is offering $15,000 incentives through Dec. 31 at five recently constructed developments in Chicago. The incentive can be applied toward the down payment and closing costs. On Jan. 1, the grant will return to the original amount, $10,000. The following locations have condos and town homes for sale: Draper and Kramer's Lake Park Crescent, 4012 S. Oakenwald Ave.; 773-268-0400; 15 condos are available.

Stateway Associates' Park Boulevard, 3560 S. Federal St.; 312-328-1100; 20 condos and town homes are for sale. Holsten Development's Parkside of Old Town, 465 W. Division St.; 312-496-3633; one condo remains for sale, call to schedule an appointment. East Lake Development's West End, 222 S. Western Ave.; call for an appointment, 312-421-6060; 17 condos are available.

Target Group's Oakwood Shores, 3859 S. Vincennes Ave.; 773-373-1300; three condos remain for sale.

All of the developments except Parkside are participating in a Home for the Holidays open house event from noon to 4 p.m. weekends through Dec. 18.

The discounted homes are priced from $150,000 to $450,000 and are near schools, parks and public transportation. The developers also have separate incentive packages worth thousands more in savings.

The Partnership for New Communities is a nonprofit group of business, civic and foundation leaders focused on bringing economic opportunity to these redeveloped communities through the Find Your Place in Chicago program.

Beverly Ridge

Phase I of Beverly Ridge, a new development on Chicago's Far South Side, has surpassed the 50 percent sold mark, with 11 of 18 homes under contract.
